With just a dedicated team of seven, Sandyford Business District works tirelessly to lobby on behalf of its members, ensuring their voices are heard locally, nationally, and internationally. Their efforts include advocating for policies that benefit businesses, providing vital support to members, and fostering growth within the district. We spoke to Operations Manager Vincent Murray to understand more about their Salesforce journey.

The organisation is funded through a levy paid to the council, which is then allocated to Sandyford Business District to support its operations. This unique model ensures they have the resources to represent and support a diverse range of businesses effectively. 

Why Sandyford needed a new solution

Previously, Sandyford Business District used Microsoft Dynamics, a system that they explained fell short of their needs. 

“The platform was complicated, not user-friendly, and lacked the ability to manage data effectively.” shared their Operations Manager, Vincent Murray.  

 Vincent shared that the team struggled with:

  • “Poor data quality on Microsoft Dynamics”
  • “Inefficient data storage, particularly for contacts of businesses and high-profile individuals such as CEOs”
  • “Weak data protection measures”
  • “That it had a lack of efficient reporting capabilities, which slowed down productivity and decision-making”
  • Sandyford Business District needed a robust and reliable solution that would:

While considering various systems like Pipedrive and HubSpot, they found that these platforms didn’t meet their requirements due their reporting needs. After thorough research and a recommendation from someone within the Salesforce ecosystem, they reached out to Adam at Kontechs for guidance.
