Men’s Development Network: Insight to Action

Overview

The Men’s Development Network is a national charity in Ireland, supporting men across the country with services focused on wellbeing, domestic violence support, programmes, health promotion, and gender equality. Their work reaches thousands of men every year – whether through a vital advice line for male victims of domestic abuse, training frontline professionals, or providing direct one-to-one support.

At the heart of their work is a simple mission: to support men and create a safe space for them to thrive through their work.

Challenge

In 2019, the team recognised the need for a change. They were setting up a freephone male advice line, the first of its kind in Ireland, but needed to build credible evidence to prove its value to funders and understand what was really happening for male victims of abuse. We did an internal audit of how we were using the system and our own data, and I knew that we had a lot of opportunity to use data more widely - to use it to make data-driven decisions and also to report on our impacts.

Why Did You Choose Salesforce and Kontechs?

After thinking about what was possible on the data and insights front, and having all insights in one place, the team decided that they needed to ensure that they had a partner who could help them do what was needed – update and enhance their Salesforce platform.
An internal audit had exposed issues in their existing CRM.
